1. There’s so much I love about this I hardly know where to begin. How about I just share my favourite quote from the article – “One thing that really divides Norway is bark.”
2. And there’s a book coming. #ALLTHEMEN I know are getting this book for upcoming birthdays/ Christmas.
3. All this talk of open fires reminds me of one of my favourite sayings (that I break out while watching my husband and brother build stupidly big fires) – “The bigger the fire, the bigger the fool.” Continue reading
Yes, the world is in the grip of Gatsby-fever. Hooray!
I even noted a touch of Gatsby in tonight’s Eurovision semi-final (well-played Belarus).
Here are my top five Gatsby related things (that aren’t the book. Or the movie). Because we can never have too much Gatsby.

Got a staircase? Use all that valuable ‘spare’ space for books.
I do a large portion of my reading in bed. My bedside table is a tower of books. I wish I had shelves in the bedroom – nice to have lots of books close by.
I was interested to read an interview with John Irving this week where he said “I don’t read in bed, ever… I get up early. I like to read a little before anyone but the dog is up. I also like to read at night, not in bed but just before I go to bed.” Continue reading
