1. There’s so much I love about this I hardly know where to begin. How about I just share my favourite quote from the article – “One thing that really divides Norway is bark.”

I even noted a touch of Gatsby in tonight’s Eurovision semi-final (well-played Belarus).

Book shelves and beds

I do a large portion of my reading in bed. My bedside table is a tower of books. I wish I had shelves in the bedroom – nice to have lots of books close by.

I was interested to read an interview with John Irving this week where he said “I don’t read in bed, ever… I get up early. I like to read a little before anyone but the dog is up. I also like to read at night, not in bed but just before I go to bed.” Continue reading
